Cutest Town in October

I love road trips, whether short or long.  It is just so fun to discover things along the way and find hidden gems.

Wabasha, a river town on the Mississippi just south of Lake Pepin in Minnesota, really gets into celebrating fall and Halloween.  Every year shops put out the cutest decorations and the town decorates the streets and squares.  It is just so dang charming.  Every year there are different decorations so it is always fun to see.  Plus, they have great boutiques and specialty shops during this time.

While there check out the unique shops along main street.  Wander around, have lunch and just enjoy the town and river.    The Eagle Center is also there.  Fall is a great time for see birds fly south.  Later October you may see swans migrating.

The backdrop of fall colors along the river makes it a beautiful drive.  So, if you are anywhere close this is great day trip.  Check it out.
