Increase feelings of Gratitude!

In the beginning of November, I challenged myself to keep a gratitude journal the entire month. I wrote down at least 3 things I was grateful for every day. Did I do it perfectly? No, if there was a day I missed, the next day I would write down my gratitude for both days. I am grateful that I don’t have to be perfect!

Here is what I learned:

  • The time of day I wrote in my journal had different benefits. When I did it in the morning it put me in a positive mood to start my day.

  • If I stopped and took a moment to write down what I was grateful for throughout the day, it gave me pause from rushed life, and lifted me up.

  • Most of the time I did it at night. It helped me focus on the positive in my life that day. I felt happy and peaceful before I went to sleep.

    It doesn’t matter when you write in your journal. I am definitely happier and more contented by doing this for a month.

    I am going to keep doing this! I feel so much better!

  • Do this for the next month. See how you feel. It is a simple practice. Give yourself grace if you don’t do it perfectly. Enjoy how you feel at the end of the month!
