Feelings of gratitude & appreciation lower stress & improve your immune system. They are a good thing to develop & practice during a pandemic or any stressful event. If you don’t love and appreciate yourself, it is more difficult to feel these feelings towards others. Let’s cultivate appreciation for ourselves. Take the time to write down & answer these questions for you.

What are the qualities that I possess and things that I do that are most admirable about me?
What activities do I do that are the most worthwhile and enjoyable to me?
What things do I do that are worthwhile to others?
What would I like to do more of?
What do I need to stop doing?
What can I do to make my life more meaningful and enjoyable?
Activity:
1. Select one thing you can do every day for the next 3 weeks that will make your life more enjoyable. Keep it simple. For example, don’t say I want to be a better communicator with my spouse. An easier goal to measure success would be; I will compliment my spouse once every day.

2. Recognize & reinforce feelings of self-love & appreciation. Every time you catch yourself practicing your goal, feel good about it. Any time you have moments where you feel good about you, celebrate & reinforce it. Anchor them in. The more senses you use the stronger you reinforce these positive feelings.
