Celebrating Winter – Ice Sculptures!
Check out the slide show of ice sculptures people made in their yards. (I’ve even included a couple of snow sculptures from the Winter Carnival). The Star & Tribune, Minneapolis newspaper, offered a winter challenge to everyone to get outside for 30 minutes. Each week they offered a different challenge. One week it was to make ice lanterns. Our neighborhood took this challenge up very creatively. Check these sculptures out! My husband made the beautiful ice pyramid with lights. Winter is probably over because it will be 60-70⁰ this week but you never know with Minnesota. Our weather teaches us to be flexible. I had a great winter and got outside almost every day. People made the best of social distancing this winter. So many people kept their Christmas lights up or made ices sculptures so walking or skiing around the neighborhood was just fun!
Did you know that spending time outside & in nature improves your health & well-being? Spending 2 hours a week has huge impacts on your health. What did you do for winter fun?
